Kingsley Model + Talent Management

Joy Kingsley-Ibeh, Founder/CEO

With over 20 years of experience in the fashion industry, as a Model and Wardrobe Stylist, opening a modeling agency was a natural transition for Joy Kingsley-Ibeh. From her birthplace in Nigeria, to a small flat in London, and ultimately to the United States, Joy’s love for fashion and design followed her across the globe. As a child idolizing the supermodels of the 80’s and 90’s, she yearned for a career in fashion. As an adult, Joy’s image has graced commercial advertisements, fashion publications, and TV/Digital Media commercials for Fortune 500 companies such as AT&T, Amtrak, and Capital One Bank. She has been featured in Forbes, D. C. Modern Luxury, Washington Life and District Fray Magazine.

Joy founded Kingsley Model + Talent Management (KMTM) in 2017 with her husband and Co-Founder, Azam Mirza.  With this new venture, she takes her years of experience, industry knowledge and love of fashion to create an agency that strives to provide superior service for not only their clients, but their talent as well.

In just a few short years, Joy has established KMTM as one of the premier modeling and talent agencies in the DC metropolitan area and beyond.  Her signed talent have graced the pages of British Vogue, Washington Life, DC Modern Luxury, and various magazines from the DMV to NYC.  Furthermore, Joy’s signed talent had the unique opportunity to partner on national ad campaigns with companies including but not limited to: Olympus; Ritz & Hilton Hotels; Capital One Bank; Grand Marnier; WaWa; and Under Armor.

As a celebrity wardrobe stylist, Joy stands out as not only a trendsetter but also a master in her craft.  She empowers her clients through style to make image a lifestyle and not just a fleeting episode in their lives.  A world traveler, she uses her travels as inspiration in all she does.  She has worked with top industry professionals such as: Soledad O’brien; national recording artist, Sons of Serendip; R&B music legend Al B. Sure; and national syndicated radio show host Rickey Smiley, of the Rickey Smiley Morning Show.  In addition, she has styled two of Washington’s professional basketball teams, the Wizards, and the Mystics.  Joy has worked with an A-list roster of clients and her editorial work can be found in the pages of DC’s top fashion publications and British Vogue.

In addition to running her business, she is also the Fashion Editor for Monarch Magazine, a style expert and TV and digital fashion contributor, regularly seen on Good Day FOX 5, Great Day Washington WUSA9, and Good Morning Washington, WJLA 7.  Joy is passionate about giving back and is involved with a variety of philanthropic organizations in the Nation’s Capital.  She is proud to support Make-a-Wish Foundation Mid-Atlantic; Becky’s Fund; Feed it Forward D.C.; and many more worthy causes.

From Nigeria to America, her life can be defined as the American dream, and her passion in fashion clearly reflect her life experiences.
